Teachers not only shopped for free supplies for their classrooms like usual, they also received gifts, prizes, food and praise just for them.

The goal was simple – to acknowledge and recognize teachers prominently so they know that their community respects and values them.

It was an important reminder at a tough time for teachers. Budget shortfalls and students struggling emotionally and academically mean teachers have been stressed and working hard.

We know that 100% of teachers spend their own money on supplies that their underserved students would not otherwise have AND that 54% of teachers considered leaving teaching as a profession as a result of feeling under-resourced and under supported.

When we support teachers, we're supporting students, their families, and the community too!

How it works:

Once registered, your account will be reviewed. If approved, you may then log in to your account to schedule your appointment to shop. If you have any questions, you may email info@schoolhousesupplies.org or read the FAQ’s below.

All teachers must re-register each year. Your previous account will not work. To register for Thanks a Million! Click the link below based on your county.

Can I bring my kids or a guest? 

Yes. You may bring your child or a guest while you shop.

I’d like to bring another teacher from my school. Can they come with me?

Yes, you may bring another teacher with you, but you may only shop for yourself. If the teacher you are bringing goes to an eligible school, they may register beforehand and shop along with you. Teachers can log in to their account to schedule an appointment. If eligible, they will get a verification email to schedule their appointment.

I scheduled an appointment but I can’t remember what time I am supposed to be there.

Search your inbox for an email from info@schoolhousesupplies.org. When you schedule an appointment, Schoolhouse Supplies automatically sends you an email with your appointment time. If you need help, contact us at info@schoolhousesupplies.org.

If I can’t make it, can I give my appointment to someone else?

We certainly hope you can make it! In the unfortunate event that you are not able to attend after you make a reservation, please cancel your reservation or reschedule by logging into your account. If you have trouble, email us at info@schoolhousesupplies.org.

Can I change my appointment time?

Yes, you can change your appointment time. Follow these steps:

  • Log in to your Free Store for Teachers account and click “Modify Scheduled Visit.”

  • Choose another available appointment.

  • If you have any trouble, please email us at info@schoolhousesupplies.org.

Must I be present to win a raffle prize?

No, you do not need to be present to enter a raffle prize. Please make sure that when entering a raffle, all pertinent information is given at the moment. All winners for raffles and prizes will be sent an email at the end of the week.

If I arrive early, can I get in early?

Yes, you will be able to get in early. While spots are limited, if you arrive early and there is room, you will be allowed to shop. We do encourage you to come within your reservation time if possible.

If I arrive late, can I still get in?

We encourage you to arrive on time. However, we understand that life happens. We will allow late arrivals.

Is parking available?

Yes, there is parking in front of the Schoolhouse Supplies facility.
