Yoobi Gives to Portland

Yoobi & Schoolhouse Supplies to Deliver Thousands of Free School Supplies to Area Schools
High-Need Schools Throughout the Region to Benefit

October 13, 2014 – Portland, Ore. – Schoolhouse Supplies, an affiliate resource center of the Kids In Need Foundation, is a proud recipient of 1,380 Classroom Packs donated by Yoobi, a dynamic new school supply brand that makes learning fun while also giving back. For every Yoobi item purchased, Yoobi contributes an additional item to a Classroom Pack, which contains hundreds of essential school supplies—enough for a classroom of 30.

In partnership with the Kids In Need Foundation and Schoolhouse Supplies, Yoobi will distribute Classroom Packs to more than 1,300 teachers at low-income schools in the Portland Metro region, providing them with free school supplies for the 2014-2015 school year. “We’re excited to work with the Kids in Need Foundation’s National Network of Resource Centers to give students and teachers the fundamental tools they need to succeed,” said Yoobi Co-Founder and CEO Ido Leffler. “Our mission is to give as many kids as possible bright, awesome school supplies that keep them engaged in the classroom and make learning fun.”

WHAT:               Yoobi Chief Giving Officer,  Justin Wolff joins Schoolhouse Supplies Executive Director, Jen Barth and staff at two area schools to distribute free Yoobi school supplies. The group will visit several classrooms at each school and help students put their creativity to use with their new supplies.
