November 4, 2015 On November 4, the 2015 edition of Willamette Week’s Give!Guide went live. Willamette Week chose “Done a Little Bad? Do a Little Good” for this year’s Give!Guide theme. In homage, we sent Pencil Pete to the chalkboard after we caught him passing notes in class. If he had a bank account, we would have asked him to give to Schoolhouse via the Give!Guide instead.
As you may already know, the Give!Guide provides an excellent end-of-year giving conduit for local nonprofits by providing much needed exposure and exciting giving incentives. Schoolhouse Supplies has participated in the Give!Guide for the past several years and is taking part again in 2015.
Last year, we raised $16,180 via the Give!Guide. That was a great win for us and, with your help, we think we can do even better this year. Our goal for the 2015 Give!Guide is $20,000, all of which is unrestricted funding!
Here’s how you can help us reach our 2015 fundraising goal!
1. Make a donation to Schoolhouse Supplies
Willamette Week has arranged a number of dollar-based incentives to motivate giving. They’ve also coordinated six “Big Give Days.” People who make donations on any of these days will be entered into a raffle to win some truly fabulous prizes including a Portland Trail Blazers ticket package, a bike give away form Bike Gallery, and a Salt & Straw ice cream party! Click here to learn more about giving incentives and Big Give Days!
2. Follow us on social media and like/share/retweet our posts
Schoolhouse Supplies will be promoting our fundraising efforts via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. If you’re not following us, yet, this is a great time to start! Follow the links to view our profiles and connect with us! We’ll be posting at least twice each week between November 4 and December 31st, usually on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. (This is a great way to keep track of Big Give Days, by the way)
3. Post about your donation on social media
Your contribution and ongoing support will inspire other people to contribute! Feel free to steal any artwork in this article to gussy up your post, including Pencil Pete doing penance at the chalkboard, our “My dollars are helping make honor roll students…” pic, or the Willamette Week Give!Guide seal. We’d also love you to pieces if you included a message in your post why you chose to honor us with your financial support via WWeek’s Give!Guide and included a link to our Give!Guide profile (https://giveguide.org/#schoolhousesupplies)
Thanks so much for your support!
