Today we are sad to say goodbye to our amazing Free Store Coordinator, Barb Burwell.
Barb has been the brain and brawn behind keeping the Free Store operating smoothly for the past two years. Whether it was finding creative ways to use some of the more unusual donated items, or her ability to bring order to chaos, Barb’s contributions to the Schoolhouse Supplies team were appreciated by staff and volunteers alike. Both her creativity and energy will be missed.
A Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Barb is moving on to teach classes and workshops as well as develop her nutrition practice. If you want to learn about the health benefits of fermentation, Barb can teach you! She’ll be teaching classes at Portland Homestead Supply Company all summer.
While we’re sad to see her go, we wish her the very best of success!
