The Free Store for Teachers: New Updates!

October 15, 2019
As one new teacher said, ” I want to thank all of you with all of my heart. I was able to give out notebooks, supplies and backpacks to several needy students. They were very grateful and it may me smile all day. I have pencils and pens in my room now and no students is without things they need to be successful in my classroom. For that I am eternally grateful. I have also encouraged all of our new teachers to make a trip to Schoolhouse Supplies! You are an amazing organization.”

As the 2019-2020 school year begins, we are excited to announce the Free Store for Teachers has undergone some new changes.

This school year, we were able expand access to the Free Store for Teachers to all of the schools in the Reynolds School District. In addition, Portland Public Schools, David Douglas School District and Parkrose School District also have access.

We have also added two new programs to our Free Store for Teachers. These are the New Teacher Initiative and the School Pass Program. The New Teacher Initiative is a program we have developed to help first and second-year teachers in the districts we serve with their unique new teacher needs. As part of the initiative we hosted a New Teacher Shopping Week, where teachers who are part of the initiative had a shopping week with special items and a raffle. The shopping week was a success and we plan on doing another in the future along with some other fun perks for them!
