New Seasons Bag It Forward Program: Vote to make your reusable bag credit count in local classrooms!

January 14, 2016

Bag it Forward LogoStarting February 8th, New Seasons Market will give customers the opportunity to donate their reusable bag credits (5ยข each) to three different non-profit organizations through its new Bag It Forward program.

How will the four Bag It Forward beneficiaries be selected? Democratically. Until January 26th, 2016, New Seasons shoppers will vote for the nonprofit organizations they think should receive reusable bag credit funds.

Three different categories of organizations will be represented, in keeping with New Seasons’ tenets of giving: organizations that fight hunger, those that support K-12 schools, and those that promote environmental conservation. We need your help to make sure that Schoolhouse Supplies is selected as the education-focused beneficiary of the Portland-area Bag It Forward program!

From January 13-26, 2016, please go to the Solutions Center (where samples are often handed out) at your local New Seasons Market and vote for Schoolhouse Supplies! There is no limit to how many times you can vote!

These stores are participating in this exciting initiative:

  • Raleigh Hills (7300 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy)
  • Sellwood (124 SE Tacoma St)
  • Seven Corners (1954 SE Division St)
  • Arbor Lodge (6400 N Interstate Ave)
  • Hawthorne ( 4034 SE Hawthorne Blvd)
  • Grant Park (3210 NE Broadway St)
  • Slabtown (2170 NW Raleigh St)
  • Woodstock (4500 SE Woodstock Blvd)

Don’t forget to spread the word to your friends and colleagues! Portland students need all the votes we can get.
