A Deluge of Supplies : SHORT Moratorium on Donations

June 24, 2015

Schoolhouse Supplies is overflowing—inundated with a barrage of awesome school supplies!

The end-of-school season has brought us a bounty of excellent used supplies; calculators, books, math manipulatives, incentives, a handful of art supplies, even a fancy microscope. Teachers and schools have been very generous and have given their gently used items new life here at the Free Store for Teachers.

While this is fantastic, we are nearly bursting out of the aisles. Every pallet and every shopping cart are full of supplies that our volunteers will sort through and tally. We estimate that with the current stash of supplies we have more than two weeks worth of work to get everything accounted for and ready for the shelves of the Free Store. That’s why we have to suspend donations for a short while.

If you have a donation for Schoolhouse Supplies, we are asking that you hold onto it until after Monday, July 6. We hope to have more space for accepting donations at that time.

Thank you so much for your generosity and patience while we work through the current donation load.

We are looking for teacher volunteers to help us sort through and identify relevant curriculum. Please contact if you can help.
