BBQ, Prizes, & Pencil Pete at Fire Up The Learning!

July 27, 2012

Are YOU ready to fire it up? Cause we are. We are ready to eat scrumptious BBQ, listen to groovy tunes, and win some dynamite prizes including the chance to give $2,500 in school supplies to one lucky teacher. And we are bringing our rascally mascot Pencil Pete, games, and some of the fabulous Schoolhouse crew downtown tomorrow to join in the fun.  It’s all happening from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 28 at the one and only Pioneer Courthouse Square: PEMCO’s Fire Up the Learning BBQ benefiting Schoolhouse Supplies.

A $5 donation gets you in and directly supports Schoolhouse Supplies!  For each donation, PEMCO has also pledged to double your contribution with matching funds, so come show your support for Schoolhouse and our Free Store for Teachers!   Oldies 106.7 morning personality Rick “Bubba” Taylor will host and there will tunes from Return Flight, food from Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que, and best of all a chance for you nominate your favorite teacher to win $2,500 in classroom supplies.

And did I mention the prizes? Oldies 106.7 and PEMCO will be giving away great prizes such as an Ipad, tickets to shows like Jack White and Alison Krauss, and much, much more.  So come on down, support Schoolhouse, and feast on some delish BBQ on the bricks of Pioneer Courthouse Square. See you there!
