Schoolhouse Supplies was thrilled to host the
Seventh Annual Starbucks ABC Book Drive Teacher Celebration and Book Giveaway. Community support for local literacy needs was huge this year, bringing in over 15,400 new and gently-used books. It was a wonderful morning in spite of the rain, as teachers and school representatives lined up at the door to get the first opportunity to browse the book-laden tables.

Teachers were treated to music from the MIX radio, coffee and scones from Starbucks, live music provided by Michael (Shoehorn) Conley and his trio and children's book author, David Greenberg, brought autographed copies of his book, Snakes.

School representatives took 75 books back to each school - a wonderful achievement by the community and by Starbucks!
